‘Hammer’ is the new single from LA-based artist Hana Vu. It’s a jangly, addictive piece of indie-pop with various juxtaposing musical textures combining to support her effortlessly melodic lead vocal. The track is accompanied by an interesting video directed by Henry Kaplan, in which Vu moves through a series of infinite loops before reaching a release. On the creation of the song, she explains: “My writing of songs is where I feel inclined to ask questions and look for answers within myself. ‘Hammer’ is one of the first songs I wrote for this record. It’s one of those songs you write to yourself amidst an existential crisis.
